のけものアニマル 記録集
In 2015, I designed the advertising tools of an exhibition ‘NOKEMONO ANIMAL’ by Hajimari no Bijutsukan in Inawashiro, Fukushima and the exhibition ended a great success. This year, they asked me again about making the archives of the exhibition and I designed the cover and jacket of the archives. At the jacket of archives I diverted an illustration I had drawn to the advertising tools last year. On the other hand, I drew new illustration to the cover of archives—the illustration was the savanna’s night, so people can enjoy the difference of savanna’s daytime and the night on the jacket and cover. I drew the cover illustration by the similar colours because we wanted to express the sight of savanna’s night under the cloak of darkness.
2015年、広告ツール一式のデザインをさせていただいたはじまりの美術館主催企画展「のけものアニマル」は盛況のうちに閉幕。記録集を制作・販売することになり、本体表紙およびカバーのデザインを請け負った。昨年広告でドローイングした、草原で出会うガゼルと親子のイラストをカバーに使用し、カバーを取れば夜の草原が表れるしかけになっている。夜になって動きが活発になる動物たち、焚き火をして静まる親子、ともに草原に横たわる闇夜に融けていくかのよう、イラストからタイトルまで全体の色合いと同系色にして、わざと判別しにくいデザインを採用した。
